Inspired by the nightlife of the 1980s, Jeremy Scott showcases his sarcastic take on a complicated decade in New York City. Sex, drugs, rock ‘n’ roll, wealth, and greed all played into how the world viewed New York City, in the electric age of the eighties.
Scott’s inspiration comes from the sliminess and greed of the money market of the prosperous decade (referencing Michael Douglas’ character in Wall Street).
Flamboyant colors, the X-rated after-dark culture of the city, and the over-sized trends from the decade, all take part of Jeremy Scott’s spring 2017 collection.
