One semi-indie brand presenting at New York Fashion Week this September is Misha Collection. Founded by Michelle Aznavorian, at age 19, Misha Collection is a go-to brand for celebs and socialites globally. Kim Kardashian-West, Jennifer Lopez, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Bella and Gigi Hadid, amongst other celebrities, all have been seen in Misha Collection.
Model Jourdan Dunn opened Misha Collection’s Spring/Summer 2017 show wearing a black leather cocktail dress (pictured above), and a lightweight Titanium evening gown to closeout the show. There was fringe, well-tailored cocktail dresses, trench coats, and jumpsuits. The brand’s signature style evening gowns came down the runway in many shapes and colors. However, the showstoppers for me were the shoes of course. Michelle Aznavorian paired all her looks with Christian Louboutin and Jimmy Choo pumps, and Stuart Weitzman sandals.
The four shoes below are just a few pieces any designer loving woman shoud have in her closet.
#1. Jimmy Choo “Romy” Pumps: These pumps come in a variety of heel heights (60mm-110mm) and colors, and replace the iconic “Abel” pump. Unlike the “Abel”, the “Romy” has a lower vamp-allowing for more toe cleavage & a less narrow fit. The “Romy” also fits pretty true to size, unlike the “Abel” which ran small (go up 1/2 size).
#2. Christian Louboutin “So Kate”: The iconic red-bottom pumps are the sexiest of all black pumps on the market. The appeal of the Louboutin pump is all about the way it make a woman’s legs look. The heel is so high, at 120mm (5 inches), that your feet will be screaming if you’re not used to the height. However, the “So Kate” make any woman’s legs look AMAZING, which is a sacrifice most are willing to make.
#3 Christian Louboutin “Pigalle” : What’s the difference between the “So Kate” & the “Pigalle” you ask? The biggest differences are the toe-boxes & heels. The “Pigalle” has a shorter toe box giving your toes more room at the point of the pump. The Pigalle also has a bit of a thicker heel which is more stable than the thin stiletto heel of the “So Kate”. Either way, Louboutins are not meant to be comfortable, they are meant to be sexy!
#4 Stuart Weitzman “Nudistsong”: Formally the “Nudist” sandal, the “Nudistsong” quickly became the go-to, formal, summer sandal. If you have been to a summer wedding or watched any red carpet event since 2014, you have seen these sandals in every possible colorway. They fit true to size, and again, not the most comfortable shoe in the world. But, you’ll catch everyone’s attention from prancing down the runway to strutting down the street.
