Tangled in Tangerines

Remember when Tangerine Tango was the color of the year?  In case you don’t it was 2012.  See a few throwback runway looks below.

This year, orange is making a comeback.  It started with accessories and jewelry, then apparel, and now shoes.  For fall 2016, there are more versions of lighter and darker oranges than we’ve ever seen before.  No doubt the 70s influence is here to stay, at least for the next year or so.

Gucci’s new creative director, Alessandro Michele, broke the precedents set by previous creative directors, with some outrageous accessories in rust and bright tangerine for fall 2016.

DVF and Dior mixed and matched rust colored tops and red-orange outerwear with deep mulberry lipsticks.
